Chance, luck and probabilities hold a major part of my art practice. I believe our lives depend heavily on various aspects of luck and our goals and plans are only a matter of controlling probabilities in our favor…
I use to say that achieving our goals is similar to throwing a dice. The more times we throw, the more times we will get the desired number! Thus, success comes with constant trial and effort. Instead of being disappointed by failures, we just have to keep trying, as the next successful event is waiting for us.
In this paper-art series, dice – as a symbol of luck – is the building element for 3D works that allude to cubical constructions, geometrical clusters, cityscapes and so on.
The work is made from acid-free card stock that does not fade in the light and offers longevity. It comes in a painted wooden frame, with a plexiglass front that protects it from dust and damage.
This was a commissioned piece for a married couple, whose names have been ‘blended’ within the clusters of dice.
